LECBA BOARD MEETING

Monday, May 10, 2010

The meeting was called to order by President Rick Unger at 6:00 PM at the Island House Restaurant.

Members present: Jerry Abele, Ron Eickholt, Mel Fenger, Don Lowther, Chris Moore, Wanda Morehead, Paul Pacholski, Pete Scheid, John Tucholski, Rick Unger, Barry Witt, Bob Witt

Guests present: Eric Gahn, Ron Lamont, Peggy VanVleet, Trish Strauss, Tony Novak, Tim Dickes, Geno Barna, Sandee Abele

Motion made by Wanda Morehead to approve April minutes. Seconded by Ron Eickholt. Passed by the Board.

Presentation by Tim Dickes from Country Living Magazine. Discussion on a cost effective option to promote/advertise your business in the magazine.

Presentation by Geno Barna (Lake Erie Law Enforcement Supervisor)

Geno recently took over the position held by Kevin Ramsey. He discussed several issues currently pending. Would like members to call the Tip Line at 1 - 800 - POACHER if you see anything suspicious.

Treasurer’s Report by Don Lowther. Motion to approve the report by Pete Scheid. Seconded by Bobby Witt. Passed by the Board.

President Unger is still working on the sale of Canadian Licenses. Hi-Way Bait is still interested.

Pete Scheid discussed the issue of local restaurants preparing customers catch.

Mike Matta is currently in Washington DC discussing the Asian carp situation and how important the shipping channel is.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, June 14 at The Pond at 6 PM.
