Motion made by Paul Pacholski seconded by Mel Fenger to accept the Treasurer’s report.

Guest Speaker:

Roger Knight from the Ohio Division of Wildlife
* Roger reported that the hatch reports were completed the first week of September. Walleye is about half of last year, and perch are not average, but better than walleye. There are no regulation changes as of this time.

* Ballville Dam project is progressing. Dam will be gone by 2012.
* Roger answered questions concerning cormorants, and commercial fishing issues.
* The Bay Shore Power Plant was discussed. The major issue was the fish kill and what is being done about it. Division of Wildlife has no authority, but they are trying to put pressure on the EPA to make something get started. Still in information mode.

New Business:

Report from Mel Fenger. Five Board members terms are up: Jerry Abele, Mel Fenger, Barry Witt, Bob Witt, and Pete Scheid. An email will be sent out to members asking for nominations. President Unger is going to contact Mike Moore from Ohio Outdoor News to have information put in the publication about nominations.

Discussion about setting up a committee to look into a new website, that is more user friendly. Jerry Abele is going to check out the situation and report back his findings.

Charter Captain of the Year: President Unger will speak to Pete Scheid and report back next month.

LECBA will again have a table at the USSA Banquet this year. It will be held in Columbus on Saturday, September 27. There are ten tickets available. Contact Rick Unger if you are interested in attending. The guest speaker will be presidential nominee John McCain.

The Cleveland Sport Show will be held March 18 – 22. LECBA will once again have a booth. Members will be needed to man it.

The next meeting will be held on October 13, 2009.
